The goal of this initiative is to ensure that ambulance is available within 15 minutes of an emergency call.
Medical emergencies often result in fatalities or lifelong injuries due to two main reasons:
Firstly, Inadequate First Response: Victims are frequently mishandled by first responders, leading to increased injuries. To address this, the STAR Hospitals team conducts Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR training sessions for over 350 individuals every month, empowering the community to take the right measures during emergencies.
Secondly, Delayed Access to Comprehensive Medical Facilities: Victims often fail to reach hospitals equipped to handle emergencies in a timely manner. To combat this issue, the STAR Trauma & Accident Response Network commits to providing ambulance services within 15 minutes, ensuring swift transport to facilities capable of offering comprehensive emergency care.
Dr. Rahul Katta, Group Lead, Emergency Medicine, Star Hospitals, stated, "Star Hospitals is committed to saving every life possible.
